Around
the World with H-O-F
Each
family is asked to choose a country, research it, write about it
or do some type of project about. During the March meeting all families
will come together and display their information. We will enjoy
presentations, reports, native foods, articles, souvenirs, etc.
that will be displayed to help educate others on their country of
choice.
Couple's
Night Out
A
night for couples to have an enjoyable evening together, as well
as, fellowship with other homeschool parents.
Christmas
Program
An annual Christmas Program for the children to participate in.
End-of-Year Awards
Program
This is a time in which each family may award their children for
their accomplishments for the past school year.
Field Trips
Quality, educational and fun field trips will be planned monthly
keeping all age groups in mind.
Group Directory
A group
directory consisting of addresses and phone numbers of members for
the use of other members only. It will be distributed to all H-O-F
members and will not be given to anyone outside the group.
Mom's Night Out
This is an evening where mom's can be refreshed and renewed through
fellowship with one another.

Monthly Support
Group Meeting
Support group meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month
at 7:30 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle, 13334 Wallisville Rd.
Monthly Newsletter
A
monthly newsletter sent to members only to inform Heart of the Father
families of upcoming events and learning opportunities within and
outside of H-O-F.
Park Day
A once a week afternoon of simple,
unstructured fun at North Shore Park for the younger children while
the older children participate in P.E.
P.E.
Structured Physical Education classes are held once a week for members
only at North Shore Park. This class is free of charge.
Pizza Hut Book
It
Parents determine individual student goals required to earn a free
personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.
Read
to Succeed
Students read predetermined amount set by the parents to earn free
Astroworld/Waterworld tickets.
School
Pictures
Optional school portraits will be made available to Heart of the
Father familiies mid-September.
Spelling
Bee
A local Spelling Bee will be held and the winners will proceed to
the SETHSA Houston Chronicle Spelling Bee in Feb. The SETHSA winner
will then compete in the Houston city-wide Bee. Also a Just for
Fun Bee for 1st-3rd grade students will be held. These winners
will go on to compete with other 1st-3rd graders at the SETHSA level
only.
